Construction

With a team of experienced project mangers and coordinators, we can offer the following comprehensive construction services:

In-house expertise and site supervision

In-house expertise and site supervision

Novell has an in-house team of builders, site supervisors, coordinators, and construction professionals who are responsible for the construction of the custom home. We have our own in-house crew of skilled labourers that work alongside and in-between sub-trades to fill in the gaps and assist with a seamless process. Our construction team works closely with the design team in the office, ensuring a tight dovetail relationship between design and construction.

An extensive network of trades and suppliers

Since 2005, we’ve built a network of reliable skilled tradespeople and suppliers who provide quality work, materials, competitive pricing, and timely availability during construction. Our vendors must prequalify. Only those that are vetted and meet our standards for professionalism and service join our network. This provides the benefits of higher quality performance, cost-effectiveness, and peace of mind.

Integrated Design-build approach

Integrated Design-build approach

Novell utilizes an integrated design- build approach, which means that the same team that designed your custom home is also responsible for delivering the construction. The initial vision for the project is maintained, and there is a seamless transition from design through construction. At construction start, our project mangers are already familiar with the project, including all the chosen materials, trades, finishes, and budget considerations, resulting in efficient and cohesive execution of the design-build intent.

Digital project management software

Novell uses digital project management software to keep everyone involved in the construction process up-to-date, accurate, and accountable. It includes scheduling, budgeting, design selection tracking and a communication platform. These digital tools help streamline the construction process, improve communication, and ensure that the project progresses with everyone involved on the same page.

Overall construction schedule

Overall construction schedule

Novell sets an overall construction schedule that outlines the timeline for key construction activities, such as site preparation, foundation, framing, MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) installations, interior finishes, and exterior work. The overall construction schedule helps ensure that the project progresses in a timely manner, and it serves as a reference point for monitoring progress and making any necessary adjustments.

Bi-weekly meetings and progress monitoring

During the construction phase, we conduct bi-weekly meetings with the homeowner to review the progress of the project and address any questions or concerns. These meetings provide an opportunity for the client to stay informed about the construction progress, ask questions, and receive updates on the project's status. It also allows for timely communication and resolution of any issues that may arise during construction.

Bi-weekly meetings and progress monitoring

We are licensed builders with BC Housing and Pacific Home Warranty, providing 2-5-10 Home Warranties to all new home construction projects, and a 2 year Warranty on all labour performed across all projects. We are proud HAVAN and BBB members, volunteering and actively participating in our local professional homebuilding community. We have curated an extensive professional network in the lower mainland, and the benefits of this experience translate to our construction projects.
